The 2008 ACR Doctoral Symposium is a full-day intensive learning experience designed to help students learn about their academic careers and theoretical orientations. It is also the premiere networking event for students to put them into contact with many of the working researchers in the consumer research field.
This year's Doctoral Symposium has built on the successes of prior years and responded to recent feedback. The event has been redesigned to increase content relevance to the Ph.D. student audience and also to increase contact time with faculty.
The event will be held for one full day on Thursday, October 23rd in the conference hotel. The Symposium registration will include a breakfast and a lunch. A dinner will be held following, but these costs are not included.
There will be four sessions to the program: 3 breakouts and one plenary panel discussion. In order to register for the event, please follow the links on the ACR Conference registration web-page. These links will prompt you to identify your stage of progress through your Ph.D. program, and to specify your main theoretical area of interest. Your answers will help us determine which breakout sessions are best suited to your needs.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you in San Francisco for the 2008 Doctoral Symposium.
